Antigen & Target Information
Specificity : Phospho-CREB-1 (S133) Antibody detects endogenous levels of CREB-1 protein only when phosphorylated at S133.The name of modified sites may be influenced by many factors, such as species (the modified site was not originally found in human samples) and the change of protein sequence (the previous protein sequence is incomplete, and the protein sequence may be prolonged with the development of protein sequencing technology). When naming, we will use the "numbers" in historical reference to keep the sites consistent with the reports. The antibody binds to the following modification sequence (lowercase letters are modification sites):RPsYR
Gene name : CREB1
Protein Name : Cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 1
Alias : CREB1;Cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 1;CREB-1;cAMP-responsive element-binding protein 1

Background:
This gene encodes a transcription factor that is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. This protein binds as a homodimer to the cAMP-responsive element, an octameric palindrome. The protein is phosphorylated by several protein kinases, and induces transcription of genes in response to hormonal stimulation of the cAMP pathway. Alternate splicing of this gene results in several transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2016],
