Antigen & Target Information
Specificity : IRF3 (Phospho Ser386) Monoclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of IRF-3 protein only when phosphorylated at S386.The name of modified sites may be influenced by many factors, such as species (the modified site was not originally found in human samples) and the change of protein sequence (the previous protein sequence is incomplete, and the protein sequence may be prolonged with the development of protein sequencing technology). When naming, we will use the "numbers" in historical reference to keep the sites consistent with the reports. The antibody binds to the following modification sequence (lowercase letters are modification sites):ASsLE
Gene name : IRF3
Protein Name : Interferon regulatory factor 3
Alias : IRF3; Interferon regulatory factor 3; IRF-3
Background:
This gene encodes a member of the interferon regulatory transcription factor (IRF) family. The encoded protein is found in an inactive cytoplasmic form that upon serine/threonine phosphorylation forms a complex with CREBBP. This complex translocates to the nucleus and activates the transcription of interferons alpha and beta, as well as other interferon-induced genes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2011],
